Job summary

MRG Global Pty is seeking a Commercial Director to lead commercial management across a portfolio of development projects in Riyadh. The role reports to the Chief Technical Services Officer and will supervise a team of 3, with duties spanning tendering, contract administration, cost control and commercial risk oversight.

You will oversee budgets, cost plans, variation orders and cash-flow, while guiding senior leadership with reporting on budgets, tender activity and contractual exposure.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in real estate or construction commercial management, including three years overseeing tendering and cost control across concurrent projects.
• Strong contract administration and negotiation skills with practical experience of variation orders, budgets and development-partner or joint-venture agreements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Commercial Management or Construction Management is required.
• A master’s degree or MRICS qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial function and manage a team covering quantity surveying, pre-contract activity, contracts and cost control.
• Oversee tendering, bid evaluation and contract awards, ensuring each proposed award is checked against its approved budget.
• Build and maintain package-level cost plans, tracking committed and actual expenditure across multiple projects.
• Manage variation orders, cash-flow forecasts, claims and contractual notices.
• Oversee contractor, consultant and development-partner agreements, including payment milestones and cost or profit-sharing obligations.
• Provide senior leadership with clear reporting on budgets, tender activity and contractual exposure.
• Support development feasibility reviews and learn from completed projects to improve processes.

The role

The successful candidate will establish clear package-level budgets, assess costs before contract awards and give leadership timely visibility of commercial risks across the portfolio.
