Overview

A large enterprise undergoing a major cloud‑focused digital transformation, modernizing its security posture, platforms, and operating model. The organization is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and assurance of secure, scalable, and compliant cloud services across its technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for cloud security architecture, ensuring solutions align with enterprise security standards, Zero Trust principles, and governance frameworks.
• Design and maintain security controls across identity and access management, network security, data protection, threat detection, and workload security.
• Collaborate with global and cross‑functional teams to embed security into cloud platforms, applications, and infrastructure from design through operational readiness.
• Lead security assurance activities including design validation, threat modelling, technical risk assessment, and readiness reviews across the delivery lifecycle.
• Oversee the development of security design documentation, operational security procedures, and knowledge materials to support secure cloud adoption.
• Identify and manage security risks, dependencies, and constraints across hybrid and cloud environments, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Deep expertise in cloud security architecture, including secure design of infrastructure, platforms, identity, networking, and monitoring components.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management principles, including authentication models, privileged access, and secure service‑to‑service communication.
• Experience applying cloud governance controls, security baselines, and best‑practice frameworks to ensure compliant, resilient, and defensible cloud environments.
• Familiarity with operating in highly regulated or security‑controlled environments, including data protection and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to work across regional and global teams, coordinating complex dependencies within structured governance processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to guide security design decisions across multi‑disciplinary teams.
