The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the organizations day-to-day operations and ensuring operational excellence across all departments. The COO works closely with the CEO to execute the companys strategic vision, drive scalable growth, optimize processes, and improve overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily business operations across departments to ensure efficiency and alignment with company strategy
- Translate strategic goals into operational plans, KPIs, and execution roadmaps
- Oversee operational budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
- Drive process improvement, automation, and operational scalability
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior management and operations teams
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare operational reports for executive leadership and the board
- Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and business expansion initiatives
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations or general management
- Proven experience scaling operations in fast-growing or complex organizations
- Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and P&L management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in technology, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, or services industries
- Exposure to international or multi-region operations (USA, GCC, APAC, Remote teams)
- Strong background in process optimization, Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence frameworks
- Change management and transformation leadership experience
