Job summary

Lucidya is seeking a Head of Legal & Compliance to own governance, risk, and data protection across the GCC. You will lead a lean team, manage external counsel, and partner with the CEO to ensure compliant growth in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

You will oversee ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and PDPL/GDPR compliance, manage complex commercial contracts, and drive corporate affairs, M&A, and regulatory readiness while balancing business velocity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal experience in-house or equivalent leadership in tech/SaaS or regulated companies.
• Strong grounding in commercial, corporate, and technology law; Saudi/GCC regulatory exposure preferred.
• Proven track record building/commercially-aware compliance programs and managing external counsel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Legal & Compliance function, setting strategy and governance.
• Streamline commercial contracting with templates and playbooks to protect the business.
• Oversee GRC programs and certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR).
• Act as Data Protection Officer, ensuring PDPL/GDPR compliance across products and processes.
• Lead corporate matters, M&A, due diligence, and capital markets readiness.
• Support regional expansion and entity establishment across jurisdictions.
• Build and mentor a lean in-house team with external counsel as needed.
