Parcelat is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead the accounting department in Riyadh. You will oversee all accounting functions, guide financial strategy, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and collaboration with senior management.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of experience, supervisory background, and fluency in Arabic and English. Logistics or IT exposure is a plus, with extensive ERP system usage across financial processes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Logistics or IT background preferred.
• Experience creating budgets and accounting guidelines; liaising with external auditors.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English; strong ERP skills.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all accounting functions (AP, AR, Treasury, fixed assets, month-end).
• Manage year-end and month-end closings and prepare financial statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports.
• Review and approve all payments, reimbursements and vouchers.
• Coordinate with external auditors and government bodies for audits.
• Maintain up-to-date accounting policies and procedures.
• Review journal vouchers and fix errors in financial entries.
• Ensure timely payments to suppliers and manage reconciliations.
• Prepare annual budgets and cost center reporting.
• Respond to financial queries from leadership and departments.
• Assist in strategic planning and financial modeling for decisions.

Job Description:

Chief accountant includes overseeing the accounting department, developing financial strategies, making investment decisions, helping company leadership with strategic planning, and making sure the company complies with the financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Fixed Assets, month-end accruals, and provisions.
• Responsible for year-end and month-end closing and the preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end management financial reports.
• Review and approve all payment transactions, including reimbursements, payments on account, vouchers, checks, etc.
• Handle year-end closing and monthly financial statements.
• Liaise with external government institutions and act as the main contact for internal and external audits.
• Respond to all queries related to financial matters.
• Recommend and draft financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain the accounting manual up to date and ensure adherence to the manual and all policies and procedures.
• Review and approve journal vouchers.
• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Coordinate the accurate and timely payment of suppliers.
• Prepare yearly budgets.
• Administer all balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Act as the point of contact for queries related to employee and supplier payments.
• Review accounts payable and weekly check runs.
• Determine the proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers, and documents for business transactions.
• Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience, with at least 2 years at the supervisory level. Background in Logistics or IT is preferred.
• Experience in creating budgets, accounting guidelines, year-end accounts, and liaising with external auditors.

• Proficiency in Arabic and English is required, both spoken and written.
• Very good user of ERP systems.
