Job summary

Matar Al Baqmi Holding Company is seeking a reliable Cashier to manage cash transactions accurately and efficiently, handling customer payments, maintaining daily cash records, and reconciling balances while delivering excellent service.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of cashier experience, familiarity with POS systems, and basic accounting knowledge. You will support the Finance Department and ensure adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or a commercial organization.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Receive cash, credit/debit card, and other payment methods from customers.
• Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations.
• Maintain accurate records of all cash transactions.
• Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Deposit cash collections as per company procedures.
• Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the Finance Department.
• Handle refunds, exchanges, and payment discrepancies in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure the cash counter is organized and secure at all times.
• Assist customers with payment-related queries in a professional manner.
• Coordinate with the Finance and Accounts team regarding daily collections.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
