Job summary

King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh seeks a Cardiac Critical Care Consultant to lead high‑level cardiovascular care. The role emphasizes patient management, multidisciplinary collaboration and ongoing clinical excellence.

The successful candidate will hold a basic medical degree, international board certification, and a license to practice. Experience with international certifications will support career development within a major Saudi center.

Qualifications

• Basic medical degree from recognized institution.
• Post-qualification certification: GMC/CCST Specialist Register, FRACP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality care to patients in this area of medicine.
• Provides consultative service as requested.
• Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians and residents.
• Actively participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise.
• Participates in research activities.
• Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
• Performs special procedures as privileges.
• Follows all Hospital-related policies and procedures.

Summary

Responsible to provide special systemic management for the patients with severe cardiovascular disease (CVD), which consists of heart disease and vascular disease.

Education / Qualification Required

1. Basic medical degree from recognized institution
2. Post-qualification certification
   • Qualification Source from: Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
     • UK and Ireland: GMC/CCST Specialist Register
     • Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP)
     • Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above

Experience Post-Qualifications

• Minimum Three (3) years after board / equivalence certification in Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES).
• Minimum Five (5) years after board / equivalence certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).

License

Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
