Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving CARMA's growth across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a strong focus on financial institutions and government-related entities. This role is responsible for developing new revenue streams, strengthening strategic relationships, and expanding CARMA's footprint across priority sectors through consultative, insight-led sales.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy aligned with CARMA's growth objectives in KSA, with particular emphasis on finance and government-linked organisations
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through direct sales, strategic partnerships, and existing professional networks
  • Leverage established relationships within government bodies, semi-government entities, and key decision-making institutions to open doors and accelerate growth
  • Lead consultative sales engagements, meeting clients to understand their challenges and positioning CARMA's intelligence solutions as high-value, strategic tools
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, influencers, and procurement decision-makers across target accounts
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle, including proposal development, RFP responses, presentations, pricing discussions, and contract negotiation
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the local market through ongoing competitive analysis, sector research, and stakeholder insight.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, insights, and operations teams to ensure client needs are accurately translated into solutions
  • Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting and regular performance reporting.
  • Represent CARMA at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and lead generation
  • Ensure adherence to CARMA's internal policies, governance standards, and values at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development or enterprise sales, ideally within media intelligence, research, data, professional services, or adjacent sectors
  • Strong understanding of KSA market dynamics, including government procurement processes and buying cycles
  • Established professional network within government organisations, financial institutions, or related public-sector bodies
  • Demonstrated success in consultative, value-led selling to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent commercial acumen, with strong negotiation, presentation, and proposal development skills
  • Ability to analyse market and client data to inform sales strategy and opportunity prioritisation
  • Confident working cross-functionally in a global, matrixed organisation
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
