Job summary

Abbott in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia seeks a physician or pharmacist with >=4 years in pharma to lead medical/scientific activities in established pharma. You will interact with KOLs, provide medical information, support education initiatives, and assist on trials and publications, while ensuring regulatory and ethical compliance.

Role requires strong communication, presentation skills, and teamwork; English and Arabic language proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in physician or pharmacist.
• Licenses: Saudi commission for health specialist / SCHS.
• Language: English. Arabic.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in biological/biosimilar products (oncology, immunology, or hematology).
• Excellent communication & presentation skills with strong interpersonal skills, discipline, flexibility and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical support and maintain credible relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers to ensure access to current medical and scientific information.
• Act as scientific expert in the therapeutic area and develop resources for the therapy team.
• Assist on special projects including medical affairs, continuing medical education, advisory boards, key opinion leader development, scientific reviews, local clinical trials and investigator meetings.
• Provide specialist support in response to internal and external queries to ensure the prompt provision of accurate scientific and medical information.
• Maintain contacts with physicians and opinion leaders to satisfy needs for scientific knowledge.
• Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to physicians, individually or in groups.
• Establish relationships with medical specialist groups and societies to expand research, advisory and educational partnerships.
• Participate in the selection process to identify physicians and KOLs for collaborations and ensure scientific integrity.
• Develop awareness of competitor issues and communicate within the Company.
• Attend scientific meetings and conferences and summarize key messages for internal use.
• Assist physicians to direct requests for access to Company products on named patient or compassionate use basis.
• Support sales/marketing to develop scientific/technical expertise through updates.
• Ensure up-to-date knowledge of product uses and external data through medical trainings.
• Provide scientific support for publications and for internal medical teams.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, codes of conduct, and Company policies.
