Job summary

Nahil Computers Company is seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Administrator for an enterprise project in the financial sector in Saudi Arabia. You will manage backup platforms, Dell EMC storage, and SAN fabric, while ensuring security controls and audit readiness.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup or Dell NetWorker/Data Domain), strong SAN skills, and a background in a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• Around 10 years of hands-on backup and storage experience.
• Strong skills in at least one of Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup or Dell NetWorker/Data Domain.
• Dell EMC storage and data protection experience (PowerMax, PowerStore, Unity, Data Domain, NetWorker/PowerProtect) is a strong plus.
• SAN switching experience; banking or financial-sector experience and vendor certifications are a plus.
• Currently based in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise backup platforms: policies, schedules, retention, daily job monitoring and failure resolution.
• Perform regular test restores and participate in DR drills and DR documentation.
• Manage Dell EMC storage: LUN/volume provisioning, snapshots, replication, firmware and health checks.
• Manage the SAN fabric: zoning and Brocade switch maintenance.
• Track storage and backup capacity and produce monthly capacity and performance reports.
• Handle incidents, service requests and changes per ITIL and client SLAs.
• Work with Dell and other vendors on support cases, upgrades and patching.
• Apply security controls (encryption, immutable/air-gapped copies, access reviews) and support audits (SAMA, NCA).
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams and asset inventory; participate in an on-call rotation.
