Job summary

United Motors Company is seeking an Auto Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles in line with company and manufacturer standards. You will ensure safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction through precise diagnostics and effective repair work.

The role requires a Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology or related field, hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, and the ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology or related field is required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty mechanical components and parts as required.
• Perform repairs on engines, braking systems, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other vehicle components.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Follow company policies, manufacturer standards, and technical procedures for all maintenance and repair activities.
• Complete assigned work in accordance with repair orders and technical instructions.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all repairs are completed to the required standards before vehicle release.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
• Report any additional repair requirements or spare parts needs to the Workshop Supervisor or Manager.
• Complete assigned jobs within the required time while meeting productivity and efficiency targets.
• Participate in technical training programs and stay updated on new vehicle technologies and repair procedures.
• Work effectively as part of the workshop team to achieve operational and customer service objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably within an authorized dealership or automotive service center
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, repair orders, and service instructions
• Basic knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems
• Valid driving license is preferred
