Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction activities related to water storage tanks and associated systems.
• Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Monitor installation of pipelines, pumps, valves, fittings, chambers, and related mechanical equipment.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical works with other disciplines and ensure timely execution.
• Monitor testing, commissioning, and related quality and HSE procedures.
• Review technical documentation including WIRs, MIRs, RFIs, and NCRs.
• Provide technical support and resolve site-related mechanical issues.
• Support progress monitoring, reporting, and handover activities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team in AlUla.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction activities related to water storage tanks and associated systems.
• Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Monitor installation of pipelines, pumps, valves, fittings, chambers, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, structural, electrical, and utility disciplines.
• Monitor pressure testing, flushing, disinfection, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Review WIRs, MIRs, RFIs, NCRs, and other project documentation.
• Resolve site-related mechanical issues and provide technical support.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with HSE and quality procedures.
• Support the Resident Engineer with progress monitoring, reporting, project closeout, and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical, water, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in water storage tanks, pumping systems, pipelines, valves, and associated mechanical systems.
• Previous PMC/consultancy Experience Is Highly Preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience reviewing drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
