Job summary

The University of New Haven-Riyadh seeks an engaging History educator to teach undergraduate courses in English, mentor students, and contribute to curriculum development at NHU-Riyadh campus.

The ideal candidate holds an MA in History (PhD preferred), with a focus on modern history, and has at least two years of college-level teaching excellence.

Experience in North American higher education, experiential learning, industry-engaged projects, and tech-enabled instruction is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• MA in History; a PhD preferred; focus on modern history is a plus.
• At least 2 years of college-level teaching excellence in history with a passion for student learning and mentorship.
• Experience teaching in English and Philosophy is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; bilingual skills are a plus.
• North American higher education experience and practises like experiential learning and industry-engaged projects are desirable.

You will Teach Inspire and mentor undergraduate students in each of the majors being offered and to be offered in History coursework incorporating the latest advancements and real-world applications All instruction will be provided in English Courses to be taught may include one or more of the following Undergraduate Inventing our Modern World and Modern Societies and Civilizations Being Human in Modern Times Academic Assessment Collect learning assessment data as needed Curriculum Development Contribute to the development of innovative curricula Mentorship Guide and advise students foster their professional development and prepare them for successful careers Service Engage in service activities that contribute to the department college and university Student Engagement Support and engage in student focused activities to enhance the vibrant student population at the NHU-Riyadh campus
