Assistant Professor of Practice- Business Analytics

You Will

• Teach: Inspire and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in Business Analytics, incorporating the latest advancements and real-world applications. Courses to be taught may include one or more of the following:
  • Undergraduate: Introduction to Business Analytics, Professional Business Foundations, Information and Analytics in the Value Chain, Dashboarding for Business Analytics, Data Visualization and Communication, Machine Learning: Supervise Learning, Machine Learning: Unsupervised Learning, Database Management for Business Analytics, AI for Business Innovation, Text Analytics, Senior Project and Big Data Analytics.
  • Graduate: Introduction to Business Analytics, Power BI and Dashboarding, Generative AI Applications in Business, Data Visualization and Communication, Data Mining for Business Intelligence, Database Management for Business Analytics, AI for Business Innovation, Data Governance, and Business Analytics Capstone.
• Academic Assessment: Collect learning assessment data as needed.
• Research: Conduct cutting-edge research that advances the field of Business Analytics.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of innovative curricula.

You Need

• Ph.D. in Data Science, Decision Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Decision Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, with significant experience in college level instruction will also be considered
• Teaching Excellence: Demonstrated excellence in teaching, with a passion for student learning and mentorship.
• North American Higher Education Experience: The University seeks candidates who can effectively teach within a North American higher education framework. Experience teaching in North American universities, combined with demonstrated success in experiential learning, active learning, industry-engaged projects, technology-enabled instruction, and other AACSB-aligned innovative teaching practices, is highly desirable.
• Research Potential: Strong research record or the potential to conduct high-quality intellectual contributions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively engage with students. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
• Business Practice Experience: Business practice experience is well regarded.

Compensation, which includes salary and any potential allowances, will be established in accordance with Saudi Arabian compensation framework in conjunction with the successful candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and position.

Any successful candidate for these roles will be processed, onboarded, and deployed to Riyadh through an outsourcing human resources company contracted by the University of New Haven specifically for this process. All academic duties will be supervised by New Haven University's administrative staff. Successful candidates will be required to obtain, and appropriately maintain, a Saudi Arabia Visa and related Work Authorizations through the contracted human resources outsourcing company.
