Job summary

Baker Hughes seeks a skilled CT Mechanic IV to perform assembly, maintenance, testing, and inspection of coiled tubing equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical systems, assist with non-conforming components, and support field operations with safety and quality at the core.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to HS&E policies, and continuous improvement in a global energy environment with diverse assignments and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Coiled Tubing equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Basic math, mechanical aptitude and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on coiled tubing units, injectors, reels, trailers, power packs, and fluid pumps.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel engine issues to ensure maximum reliability during well operations.
• Maintenance, testing and assembling product/tools/sub-assemblies for operations.
• Work to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices.
• Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
• Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
• Meet compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

As a Mechanic you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform the visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Whilst assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction. You will provide technical support across the business whilst complying with HS&E policies.

As a CT Mechanic , you will be responsible for:

• Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on coiled tubing units, injectors, reels, trailers, power packs, and fluid pumps.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel engine issues to ensure maximum reliability during well
• Maintaining, testing and assembling product / tools / sub-assemblies for operations

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Diploma or equivalent
• Have a minimmum of 3 years experience with Coiled Tubing equipment maintanance
• Be able to work efficiently in a team environment and communicate effectively in a courteous manner.
• Have a dedicated focus towards safety and quality
• Have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills,
• Have knowledge of workshop equipment and their uses (shop tooling, measurement and material handling)
