Job summary

Hill International, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA/QC Inspector for villa projects in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

You will review architectural drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure flawless on-site execution, and lead daily inspections of finishing works with a strong QA/QC mindset. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in architectural/finishing inspections, proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office, and excellent written and spoken English to coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in architectural/finishing inspection and site supervision.
• Experience in villa or residential projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials and QA/QC.
• Proficient reading of detailed drawings and specs.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Review approved architectural drawings, specs, submittals, and method statements prior to site execution.
• Conduct daily inspections of architectural and finishing works on villa projects.
• Monitor construction activities including finishes and interfacing trades.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, quality standards, and local regulations.
• Review IRs and MIRs; issue SORs and NCRs; monitor corrective actions.
• Participate in mock-up inspections and approvals before bulk finishing.
• Coordinate with Structural and MEP Inspectors for proper sequencing.
• Monitor QA/QC through ITPs and documentation control.
• Assist in snag lists, pre-handover inspections, defects rectification.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports.
• Attend progress and technical meetings with Contractors and Client reps.
• Adhere to Company QSE policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

• Review approved architectural drawings, specifications, material submittals, and method statements prior to execution on site.
• Conduct daily inspections of architectural and finishing works for villa construction projects.
• Monitor construction activities including blockwork, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, marble works, ceilings, painting, façade finishes, joinery, aluminum works, and landscaping interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations.
• Review and approve Inspection Requests (IRs) related to architectural and finishing works.
• Conduct Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) to verify delivered materials match approved samples and specifications.
• Identify non-conforming works and issue Site Observation Reports (SORs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in mock-up inspections and ensure approvals prior to proceeding with bulk finishing works.
• Coordinate with Structural and MEP Inspectors to ensure proper sequencing and integration of architectural finishes.
• Monitor contractor performance with respect to approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and QA/QC procedures.
• Assist in preparing snag lists, conduct pre-handover inspections, and ensure timely rectification of defects.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare periodic quality reports for submission to the Senior Resident Engineer.
• Attend progress and technical meetings with Contractors and Client representatives as required.
• Ensure compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural/finishing inspection and site supervision.
• Previous experience in villa or residential construction projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials, installation methods, and quality standards for high-end residential works.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and documentation control.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
