Job summary

UCC Holding in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to oversee and coordinate architectural activities for a major building construction project. The role focuses on ensuring works align with approved designs, specifications, quality standards and schedules.

You will lead design development, review drawings, and ensure effective coordination with structural, MEP, interior design and other disciplines on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in architectural design and construction.
• Experience with mega-scale building construction projects and major contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, interior design, and other disciplines.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor architectural works on site to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Review and coordinate material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and method statements.
• Ensure finishes and materials meet project standards and specifications.
• Identify design conflicts and coordinate solutions with design and construction teams.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the architectural team.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect to oversee and coordinate architectural activities for a major building construction project in Riyadh. The role will be responsible for ensuring that architectural works are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, interior design, and other project disciplines.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor architectural works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Review and coordinate material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and method statements.
• Ensure architectural finishes and materials meet the required project standards and specifications.
• Identify design conflicts, technical issues, and construction constraints and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Support design development and ensure effective coordination between design and construction teams.
• Monitor progress of architectural works and coordinate with the project team to meet planned milestones.
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on architectural quality and workmanship.
• Ensure proper documentation, testing, inspection, and close-out of architectural works.
• Support project management in achieving project quality, schedule, and construction objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the architectural team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in architectural design and construction.
• Experience working with reputable main contractors on major construction projects
• Mandatory experience in mega-scale building construction projects.
• Experience in 5-star hotels, luxury hospitality, high-rise buildings, mixed-use developments, or major landmark projects is highly preferred.
