Job summary

DS DeepSource is seeking an experienced Application Operations Engineer to ensure stability, availability, and performance of enterprise applications. You will manage incidents, drive problem management, and coordinate changes and releases across multiple teams.

Responsibilities include monitoring, event correlation, DR testing, backups/restores, and CMDB maintenance to support ongoing service improvement and incident bridges when major incidents occur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• Experience in Application Operations/Support in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on incident and problem management at L2/L3 level.
• Experience with change management, release planning, and application-layer changes.
• Experience performing risk and impact assessments for changes.
• Monitoring application performance and availability with event correlation.
• Experience with backups, restores, and DR testing.
• Understanding OS, database, and middleware hardening and patching.
• Capacity and performance management experience.
• Maintaining CMDB records for application components.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, escalation, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple technical teams during major incidents.

Responsibilities

• Manage L2/L3 incidents, participate in incident bridges, and escalation management.
• Perform incident and problem management, analyze trends, and implement permanent fixes.
• Develop and manage Service Improvement Plans.
• Support release schedules and planning activities.
• Plan and coordinate Change Requests with risk/impact assessments.
• Execute application-layer changes and post-implementation reviews.
• Handle application configuration requests and monitor performance/availability.
• Conduct event correlation and investigate application-related events.
• Manage capacity and performance of applications.
• Develop and test application recovery procedures and backups/restores.
• Participate in DR tests and OS/database/middleware hardening tasks.
• Apply patches/updates to application components and maintain CMDB records.
