Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer in Jubail, Eastern Province, SA. You will design and implement APC solutions, develop dynamic models, and support commissioning across industrial environments.

The role requires strong MPC knowledge, troubleshooting, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. The position focuses on optimization, remote and site testing, and safety compliance within a global engineering landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechatronics/related engineering fields.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in industrial automation and/or APC.
• Hands-on experience with DCS/PLC environments and troubleshooting.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate operating processes to identify optimization opportunities and efficiency gains.
• Design and implement APC solutions including MPC and optimization applications.
• Develop and validate dynamic process models from plant data and first-principles.
• Configure and tune multivariable predictive controllers and parameters.
• Collaborate with control room operators, process engineers, and instrumentation teams to complete commissioning and testing.
• Provide commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting support for APC applications.
• Execute simulations and acceptance testing for large-scale optimization projects.
• Monitor performance and recommend continuous improvements to sustain benefits.
• Prepare technical documentation, test plans, and commissioning reports.
• Support proposal development for expanded automation solutions.
