Job summary

University of Prince Mugrin seeks a highly qualified Saudi PhD holder to serve as a Psychological Counselor under the Deanship of Student Affairs (Male Campus). The role delivers individual and group counseling, psychosocial assessments, and wellbeing workshops to support students’ emotional, social, and academic development.

We expect strong knowledge of counseling theories, assessment methods, and student development, with professional confidentiality and ethical practice.

Qualifications

• PhD in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Licensed or certified in psychological counseling where applicable.
• Proven experience in psychological counseling, preferably in higher education.
• Strong knowledge of counseling theories, assessment, and student development frameworks.
• Experience delivering individual and group counseling services.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling to students to support emotional and academic adjustment.
• Design and deliver group counseling sessions and developmental activities.
• Conduct psychological assessments to inform academic and career decisions.
• Maintain confidential student records and ensure ethical reporting.
• Collaborate with academic staff and student services to refer at-risk students.
• Develop and deliver workshops on resilience, study skills, and wellbeing.
• Participate in campus events to promote mental health resources.
• Monitor follow-up and coordinate care with relevant stakeholders.
