Job summary

King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) invites applications for a Student Counselor at the KAPSARC School of Public Policy (KSPP) to support postgraduate students' wellbeing, academic success and timely degree completion. The role includes individual counseling, assessment, referrals, and helping students adapt to postgraduate life.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5–8 years of professional counseling experience, preferably within a university or higher education setting.
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Experience designing and facilitating workshops or student wellbeing programs.
• Experience working in multicultural or cross-cultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential individual counseling to postgraduate students addressing academic stress and well-being.
• Provide academic coaching on study habits and time management.
• Identify students at risk and refer to internal or external specialists.
• Design and deliver wellbeing programs, workshops and outreach activities.
• Support postgraduate orientation and student engagement.
• Maintain confidential counseling records and comply with policies.
• Collect anonymized service data for quality improvement.
