Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking an experienced professional to negotiate, analyse, prepare and revise LNG contracts and service agreements. The role emphasizes maintaining documentation and timely recording of contractual nominations across contracts.

Ideal candidates have extensive LNG trading experience, strong contract administration skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality options and risk analyses for commercial stakeholders. A multidisciplinary background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of LNG physical and derivative transactions and trading customs.

• Ability to identify risk and opportunities in complex operations.
• Multi-disciplinary knowledge across trading, risk control, sales operations, commercial, legal, and finance.

Primary Purpose Of The Job

Negotiate, analyse, prepare and revise LNG contracts and service agreements. The role is responsible for maintaining the management and control of documentation which shall include the recording and communication of contractual nominations dates for all aspects of the contracts.

Required Experience And Skills

• At least 8 years in a similar contracts position with at least 3 years in LNG Trading.


• Proven work experience and deep understandings of LNG physical and derivative transactions and the trading customs as Contract Administrator, Contract Manager or relevant role in LNG/energy industry and handling various trading contracts.


• Ability to leverage on functional support and provide high quality options and opinions to commercial stakeholders.


• Ability to identify risk and opportunity in complex operational circumstances.


• Multi-disciplinary knowledge and broad competence is required in areas such as trading, risk control, sales operations, commercial, financial, contract administration, legal, economic analysis and projects.


• Excellent client and internal stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to take fast risk-based decisions, sometimes based on incomplete information.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent from an internationally recognized university.


• Postgraduate Qualification (MSc. or MBA) preferred.
