Job summary

Lusail International Circuit, Qatar, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver temporary structures and site services for the international championship. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance and removal of grandstands, broadcast facilities, and operational compounds, with emphasis on safety, quality and sustainability.

The role requires 5-8 years in site or venue operations, a Bachelor's degree, and current Qatar residency with NOC where needed.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in site management, venue operations, event operations, or infrastructure delivery.
• Health and safety knowledge and compliance experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours during event operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations before, during, and after the event.
• Coordinate venue setup, overlay installation, and dismantling activities.
• Manage site logistics, contractor access, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless site delivery.
• Monitor site safety, compliance, and adherence to event operational standards.
• Identify and resolve on-site operational issues to maintain event continuity.
• Support venue inspections, testing, and readiness activities.
• Maintain site documentation and provide operational reports throughout the project.

Job description

Reporting to Event Director, this role will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery including the installation, dismantling and 3rd party certification of all temporary structures and site services required for the international championship. This includes design, construction, maintenance and removal of temporary infrastructures such as grandstands, broadcast facilities, and operational compounds. Site manager also ensures that all installations adhere to the highest safety, quality and sustainability standards, while supporting efficient site operations and delivering an exceptional event experience in line with international events standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations before, during, and after the event.
• Coordinate venue setup, overlay installation, and dismantling activities.
• Manage site logistics, contractor access, and operational readiness.

What we are looking for

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in site management, venue operations, event operations, or infrastructure delivery. Experience delivering major sporting events, international events, or large-scale temporary venue projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of site logistics, contractor management, and health and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours during event operations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.

Additional Requirements

• Currently based in Qatar with a valid Residence Permit (QID).
• Able to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC), where required, for the duration of the assignment.
