Job summary

Lusail International Circuit in Doha seeks an experienced Event Manager to support planning and delivery of major events in a fast-paced sporting environment. The role requires understanding motorsport/event operations and coordinating multiple stakeholders and suppliers on-site throughout planning, build-up, delivery and post-event activities.

This fixed-term role (12 months) may extend subject to performance and requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of large-scale event experience.
• Exposure to motorsport or large-scale international events preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business, Hospitality or related field.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational readiness of assigned event areas and workstreams.
• Coordinate venue setup, event overlay, temporary infrastructure and site logistics through build-up, live event and dismantling.
• Manage contractors and suppliers against agreed scope, timelines and operational requirements.
• Coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure dependencies and event requirements are closed before delivery.
• Take ownership of on-site operational issues, making timely decisions and coordinating solutions during live events.
• Track readiness, risks, outstanding actions and changing requirements throughout the event lifecycle.
• Lead assigned post-event closeout and debrief activities, capturing lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Event Manager to support the planning and delivery of major events within a fast-paced sporting environment. The role requires someone who understands how motorsport or large-scale international events operate, can coordinate multiple stakeholders and suppliers, and is comfortable working on-site through planning, build-up, event delivery and post-event activities.

This is a fixed-term role (12 months in duration), with the possibility of further engagement subject to performance and organisational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive operational readiness of assigned event areas and workstreams.
• Coordinate venue setup, event overlay, temporary infrastructure and site logistics through build-up, live event and dismantling.
• Manage contractors and suppliers against agreed scope, timelines and operational requirements.
• Coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure dependencies and event requirements are closed before delivery.
• Take ownership of on-site operational issues, making timely decisions and coordinating solutions during live events.
• Track readiness, risks, outstanding actions and changing requirements throughout the event lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 6 years of large-scale event experience. Previous exposure to motorsport or large-scale international sporting/event delivery is strongly preferred. Experience limited primarily to event administration, office-based coordination, registrations, guest management, marketing, or general event support without direct operational delivery responsibility will not be considered sufficient.
• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, Hospitality or a related field.
• Strong command of English. Arabic is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience coordinating suppliers, contractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a demanding event environment, including extended or irregular hours when required.

Additional Requirements

• Currently based in Qatar with a valid Residence Permit (QID).
• Able to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC), where required, for the duration of the assignment.
