Job summary

WSP in Qatar seeks a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial and contractual aspects of large infrastructure projects. You will lead claims, prepare final accounts, and provide expert contract interpretation across complex programs.

Must hold MRICS and MMUP/UPDA registrations with extensive experience in FIDIC contracts and cost control. You will collaborate with project teams to address commercial issues and deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantity surveying or related discipline is required.
• MRICS certification is mandatory for this role.
• MMUP/UPDA registration is mandatory.
• Strong experience with contract administration and claims management on major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage all quantity surveying, commercial, and contractual aspects of infrastructure projects.
• Review, evaluate, and process payments, variations, change orders, and final accounts.
• Lead preparation and settlement of claims related to EOT, disruption, delay, and additional costs.
• Draft and manage contractual correspondence with contractors and clients.
• Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and compliance with regulations.
• Analyze project records to substantiate entitlement and quantum for claims.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecast expenditures throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Participate in negotiations and dispute resolution for claims and contractual matters.
• Review tender documents, BOQs, cost estimates, and agreements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, and legal teams on commercial issues.
• Prepare detailed commercial reports, claim assessments, and management presentations.
