Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects in Doha. You will lead claims management, EOT disputes, evaluate payment applications, and ensure compliance with FIDIC contracts and client requirements.

The ideal candidate has MRICS, MMUP/UPDA registration, 20+ years of experience, and strong communication skills to coordinate with project teams and legal colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, and commercial management.
• Extensive claims management experience on major infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, rail, utilities).
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract interpretation.
• MRICS is mandatory; MMUP/UPDA registration is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage all quantity surveying, commercial, and contractual aspects of infrastructure projects.
• Review, evaluate, and process payment applications, variations, change orders, and final accounts.
• Lead preparation, assessment, negotiation, and settlement of EOT, disruption, delay, and additional costs claims.
• Draft, review, and manage contractual correspondence with contractors and clients.
• Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and ensure compliance with contracts and specs.
• Analyze project records to substantiate entitlement and quantum for claims.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and forecast expenditures.
• Identify commercial/contractual risks and recommend mitigations.
• Participate in negotiations and dispute resolution related to claims.
• Review tender documents, BOQs, cost estimates, and contracts.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, and legal teams.
• Prepare detailed commercial reports, claim assessments, and management presentations.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and company procedures.
