Job summary

WSP International LLC—Qatar Branch is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead end-to-end commercial management on GCC infrastructure projects. The role focuses on preparing EOTs, variations, disruption and cost claims, and drafting professional contractual letters.

Qualifications

• MRICS accreditation.
• Experience with major GCC infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract suites and interpretation.
• Proven track record in claims management and dispute avoidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate Extension of Time (EOT) and variation claims.
• Develop and submit disruption and cost claims with supporting documentation.
• Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with FIDIC and client requirements.
• Draft and issue formal contractual correspondence, notices, and letters to clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Analyse project impacts and provide cost-control recommendations.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve contractual issues and mitigate disputes.
• Maintain accurate records of claims, variations, and contractual actions.
• Support the preparation of progress payment applications and interim valuations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide commercial advice to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to WSP’s quality and governance standards in all contractual activities.
