Job summary

UrbaCon Trading and Contracting is seeking a Planning Manager in Qatar to oversee planning staff, enforce project controls best practices, and report progress, delays, and risks to management. The role supports delay analysis and complex project controls inquiries across projects with a focus on delivering on schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has eight years of experience, five in supervision, with GCC experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• UPDA/MMUP registration or PMP certification preferred.
• 8+ years of total experience with 5+ in a supervisory role.
• 2+ years GCC experience considered a plus; UAE/GCC knowledge beneficial.
• Advanced understanding of project management principles and leadership of planning teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop full project plans covering scope, budget and milestones.
• Build and manage schedules with critical path analysis.
• Plan resource allocation and task sequencing.
• Manage materials, equipment and subcontractors with project managers.
• Identify delivery risks and mitigation strategies.
• Assist with budget preparation and cost estimation.
• Maintain project documentation including change orders and progress reports.
• Monitor progress against milestones and apply corrective actions as needed.
