UrbaCon Trading and Contracting, the contracting arm of Power International Holding, is recruiting a Senior Planning Manager in Qatar. The post leads a team of planning staff and works with the project team to keep delivery in step with the contract schedule, to report the effect of events on that schedule and to advise on measures that recover time.
The advert sets out the duties as producing and managing the programmes for design, procurement, construction and completion in line with the contractual requirements, reviewing and evaluating subcontractor schedules against the baseline and recommending action where slippage appears, analysing progress from status reports and forecasting from it, testing alternative schedules against change and unforeseen events, and coordinating updates to the detailed work programmes with project managers, subcontractors and the authorities.
The employer asks for knowledge of construction law and change management, cost control, and the preparation of extension of time claims and delay analysis, together with advanced Primavera P6. It wants a minimum of eight years in the work, five of them supervising, and treats two years in the Gulf as an advantage.
The qualification asked for is a civil engineering degree with MMUP or UPDA registration, or PMP. The advert states no salary and gives no closing date.
