Job summary

Swan Global is seeking a Chief Electrician for an offshore jackup rig in Qatar. You will lead all electrical operations, oversee power generation, distribution, and control systems, and ensure rigorous safety and compliance standards.

The role requires extensive offshore experience, ATEX/IECEx certification, and strong leadership to mentor electricians and coordinate with onshore teams. 28/28 rotation and offshore site duties apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• ATEX/IECEx certification for hazardous area systems.
• 5+ offshore experience including chief electrician on jackup rigs.
• COMPEX certification preferred for Gulf operations.
• BOSIET/FOET with HUET and safety certifications.
• QP Safety Passport and MoPH medical certificate valid.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting offshore.
• Oversee power generation, distribution, and control systems on the jackup rig.
• Ensure compliance with QE, IEC/ATEX, and class standards.
• Mentor electricians and subcontractors; manage schedules and safety.
• Maintain documentation and support audits and drills.
• Coordinate with onshore teams for procurement and spares.
