Job summary

Swan Global is seeking an Assistant Driller for an offshore Jackup Rig based in Qatar. You will support the Driller on top drive, drawworks and mud pumps, supervise the drill floor crew and ensure safe, efficient operations in accordance with QatarEnergy standards.

The role requires IWCF Level 3, mandatory OPITO/BOSIET+HUET for offshore Qatar, H2S and confined space awareness, and 5+ years on offshore rigs with Jackup experience preferred. Rotation is 28/28 or 42/21.

Qualifications

• IWCF Well Control Level 3 is required.
• OPITO/BOSIET + HUET are mandatory for Qatar offshore.
• H2S Awareness & Confined Space Entry.
• 5+ years on offshore rigs (3+ years as AD or Senior Floorman).
• Jackup rig experience is preferred (Qatar/GDI, Shelf Drilling, ADES).
• Familiarity with QatarEnergy well control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Drilling Operations support on top drive, drawworks, and mud pumps.
• Monitor well parameters and report anomalies.
• Supervise drill floor crew and ensure cleanliness (5S).
• Assist in preventive maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Document daily drilling progress and maintain checklists.
