Job summary

Swan Global seeks an experienced Electrical Foreman for an upcoming offshore project in Qatar. You will oversee electrical installation, testing, maintenance, and commissioning, leading a team to meet safety and project timelines.

The role requires 10+ years onshore electrical experience with 3–5 years offshore, strong diagram interpretation skills, and relevant offshore certifications. Rotation is 60 days on / 7 days off, with FAT provisions arranged by client/supplier.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of onshore electrical experience, with at least 3–5 years in an offshore environment.
  • Proven experience as Foreman or Supervisor in electrical construction, maintenance, or commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore electrical systems, including HV/LV distribution, MCCs, lighting, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with IEC, NEC, ATEX standards and offshore safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, P&IDs, and layout drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (COMPEX, HUET, BOSIET, OPITO) are preferred.
  • Rotation Schedule: 60 days on / 7 days off
  • FAT provisions: Offshore FAT provided by client; Onshore FAT to be arranged by supplier.

Responsibilities

  • Offshore electrical installation, testing, and maintenance supervision.
  • Ensure work meets project specs, safety rules, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with management, engineers and trades for smooth execution.
  • Review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical docs.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and PTW compliance.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of systems.
  • Monitor progress, report daily activities, and ensure timely task completion.
  • Maintain daily logs, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and compliance with HSE policies.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Foreman for an upcoming offshore project. The successful candidate will oversee all electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project timelines. This role requires a strong background in both onshore and offshore electrical work with a focus on team leadership and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible in offshore electrical installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
  • Oversee the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Monitor work progress, report daily activities, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Foster a safety-first culture and ensure all team members adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
