Job summary

IMAR Trading & Contracting is seeking an IT Support Engineer to deliver robust technical support, systems administration, and network engineering across Doha HQ and active construction sites. You will manage Windows and Linux servers, AD/365 services, and VPN connectivity to maintain high availability and cyber resilience.

The role requires 5+ years of enterprise IT experience, hands-on firewall expertise (Fortinet/Cisco/Palo Alto), and strong networking skills to support field projects and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years in IT support, systems administration, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting enterprise networking: LAN/WAN, VLANs, switching, routing.
• Hands-on with enterprise firewalls (Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco ASA/Firepower or Palo Alto).
• Proven ability to implement site-to-site IPsec VPNs and remote access VPNs.
• In-depth Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage escalations, and provide on-site support.
• Solid cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and backups knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier-1 to Tier-3 IT support for office staff and site teams.
• Manage enterprise servers, workstations, and network hardware.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, and switches.
• Deploy and harden next-generation firewalls and security appliances.
• Maintain site-to-site IPsec VPNs and SSL remote access VPNs.
• Administer Active Directory, GPOs, 365 services, and enterprise emails.
• Support ERP, project management, and engineering software.
• Perform regular backups, DR tests, and patch management.
• Visit project sites to resolve complex network and hardware issues.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and SOPs across facilities.
