Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Doha seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee accounts payable and general ledger activities, ensuring accurate postings and timely payments. You will lead month-end and year-end closings, review accruals and balance sheet schedules, and strengthen internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting, with 3+ years in healthcare, and professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a hospital or healthcare organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA or equivalent.
• Strong experience in financial closing, internal controls, ERP systems, Excel and supervision of accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital accounts payable and general ledger activities, ensuring accurate postings, reconciliations and timely payments.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, reviewing accruals, prepayments, provisions and balance sheet schedules.
• Review supplier discrepancies, expenditure allocations and payment controls, coordinating with Procurement and departmental budget owners.
• Prepare financial reports and audit schedules, supervise junior accountants and strengthen accounting procedures.
