Job summary

Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to lead and support the Engineering Department across guest villas, public areas, and Heart of House facilities. You will drive preventive maintenance programs, manage contractors and suppliers, control costs, and ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements to elevate guest experiences.

The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on leadership, and the ability to deliver efficient, safe operations in a luxury

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive engineering/maintenance experience, including supervisory or team leadership exposure.
• Luxury hotel or resort experience is an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration, water systems, pumps and generators.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety systems, occupational health and safety requirements, and safe working practices.
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers, inventories and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department and ensure smooth functioning of all resort facilities and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest villas, public areas, F&B outlets, kitchens, offices and associate areas to identify maintenance requirements.
• Ensure building systems are maintained in safe and efficient operating condition and respond to requests promptly.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with other departments to minimize guest disruption.
