Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a Commercial Business Support Officer to provide cross-functional support across procurement, facilities management, IT coordination and legal administration for the Africa region. The role links outstations with Head Office shared services to drive efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications include a high school/diploma/bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years in an administrative or shared services environment with procurement, IT, legal or facilities.

Qualifications

• High school, diploma, or bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
• Minimum 4+ years of job-related experience.
• Experience in administrative, secretarial, business support or shared services with procurement, IT, legal and facilities matters.
• Excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities in line with outstation procurement policies and Head Office spending principles.
• Assist the administration of office leases and utility contracts, including renewals and closures across the region.
• Coordinate with contracts and legal teams to resolve commercial and operational administration matters.
• Monitor budgets and provide regular reporting to the line manager.
• Identify procurement best practices and support management of procurement-related systems and processes.
• Recommend workflow improvements related to contracts, expenditures, office facilities and outstation support activities.
• Collaborate with administration and shared service teams to ensure consistent policy implementation.
