Job summary

Qatar Airways Group in Doha is seeking a Commercial Business Support Officer to provide procurement, facilities, IT coordination and legal administration support across Africa. You will act as a key liaison between outstations and Head Office shared services teams to drive efficiency and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 4+ years in admin/shared services, and excellent MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills, with strong organization and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Essential: High School/Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 4+ years of job-related experience.
• Experience in admin, secretarial, business support or shared services with procurement, IT, legal and facilities matters.
• Excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to review and challenge existing processes to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide business support across Africa region on procurement, facilities management, IT coordination and legal administration matters.
• Serve as liaison between outstations and Head Office shared services teams to drive operational efficiency, compliance and effective support.
• Support procurement activities in line with outstation policies and finance spending principles.
• Administer office leases and utility contracts, including renewals and closures across the region.
• Coordinate with contracts and legal teams to resolve commercial and operational administration matters.
• Monitor budgets and provide regular reporting to the line manager.
• Identify procurement best practices and support management of procurement-related systems and processes.
• Recommend workflow improvements related to contracts, expenditures, office facilities and outstation support activities.
• Collaborate with administration and shared service teams to ensure consistent policy implementation.
