Job summary

HW3 is seeking a PI Engineer to support the AVEVA/OSIsoft PI historian during FAT/SAT, commissioning, and early operations on a major QatarEnergy project. You will provide on-site installation, configuration, and validation, and ensure interfaces from DCS/SCADA/RTU are correctly wired into the PI System.

The role requires experience with PI interfaces, data archive, and site commissioning in process industries.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of PI Server, Interfaces, and Data Archive.
Experience integrating PI with DCS/SCADA/RTU systems in process industries.
Solid understanding of buffering, redundancy, and performance tuning in PI.
Prior site commissioning experience with PI or similar historians (mandatory).
Background in automation, instrumentation, or IT/OT systems within oil & gas or related sectors.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site support for PI System installation, configuration, and validation.
Configure and validate interfaces from DCS/SCADA/RTU into the PI System.
Execute data validation, performance checks, buffering verification, and redundancy testing.
Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and early-operations troubleshooting for the historian.
Ensure compliance with customer data, historian, and reporting requirements.
