Job summary

Snoonu in Qatar seeks a People Operations Specialist focused on Employee Settlements & Compliance. You will manage accurate final settlements, EOSB, and social contributions for both frontline and corporate staff, ensuring compliance with GCC laws.

The role supports high-volume settlements across Snoonu’s Marketplace, Grocery, and Snoomart, while handling complex cases for executives and international employees. Strong HRIS and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4+ years in HR Operations, Employee Administration or Payroll.
• Experience in final settlements and End of Service Benefits in GCC countries.
• Strong knowledge of GCC labor laws and statutory requirements.
• Experience with social insurance calculations incl. GCC Insurance Protection Extension is preferred.

The People Operations Specialist – Employee Settlements & Compliance is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant employee financial lifecycle operations across the organization. The role owns the preparation of final settlement calculations, End of Service Benefits (EOSB), statutory social insurance calculations and related employee financial processes for both corporate and frontline employees.

The role supports a high-volume operational workforce across Marketplace, Grocery and Snoomart, while also managing more complex cases for corporate employees, executives and GCC nationals. Through operational excellence and continuous process improvement, the role contributes to a positive employee experience, mitigates compliance risks and enables faster employee lifecycle execution.

Employee Final Settlements

• Prepare accurate and timely final settlement calculations for employees leaving the organization, including End of Service Benefits (EOSB), leave encashment, notice pay, deductions and other applicable payments.
• Ensure all settlement calculations comply with local labor laws, company policies and contractual obligations.

Social Security & Statutory Contributions

• Calculate statutory social insurance contributions for applicable employee populations.
• Manage calculations related to GCC nationals under the GCC Insurance Protection Extension framework and other applicable statutory schemes.
• Monitor legislative updates and ensure calculations remain compliant with statutory requirements.

Operational Workforce Administration

• Manage high-volume settlement calculations for frontline employees across Marketplace, Grocery and Snoomart operations, including pickers, shoppers, dispatchers and other operational roles.

Corporate Employee Administration

• Process settlement calculations for corporate employees, including more complex compensation structures, international employees and executive populations.
• Review unique contractual arrangements and ensure calculations accurately reflect applicable terms and benefits.

Compliance & Process Governance

• Maintain accurate employee records and calculation documentation for audit purposes.
• Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner closely with Finance to ensure seamless coordination between settlement calculations and payroll execution.
• Work with Employee Relations and People Partners to support employee exits, disciplinary cases and settlement-related inquiries.
• Coordinate with PROs on immigration or employment status changes impacting settlements or statutory obligations.
• Provide guidance to employees and internal stakeholders regarding settlement calculations and statutory contributions.

The Magic You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in HR Operations, Employee Administration, Payroll
• Experience preparing employee final settlements and End of Service Benefit calculations within GCC countries.
• Strong knowledge of GCC labor legislation and statutory employment requirements.
• Experience managing social insurance calculations, including GCC Insurance Protection Extension schemes, is preferred.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience supporting high-volume operational workforces is highly desirable.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Excel for employee calculations and reporting.
