Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Doha is seeking a People & Culture Operations Manager to lead and strengthen the P&C department within our luxury hotel in Doha. The role focuses on recruitment, staff relations, and compliance with local laws while supporting the hotel’s strategic objectives.

The candidate should have 2+ years in a P&C leadership role, fluency in English, and experience with multinational teams. Qatar labour laws knowledge and a hospitality background are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a 5-star hotel environment.
• 2+ years as a People & Culture Manager or 3+ years as an Assistant P&C Manager.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Experience with recruitment and disciplinary processes.
• Ability to work with multicultural teams.
• Knowledge of Qatar Labour laws.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departments to meet recruitment needs and delight guests.
• Manage vacancies and recruitment within budget and operational needs.
• Oversee starters, transfers, promotions, variations and leavers.
• Oversee day-to-day P&C operations and workflow.
• Plan, organize, and implement department activities.
• Administer compensation programs.
• Adhere to Qatar legislation related to P&C.
• Maintain headcounts in line with budgets.
• Administer disciplinary and grievance procedures with the Director.
• Provide HR support to department heads and colleagues.
• Establish and maintain effective colleague relations.
• Develop and adhere to corporate and hotel P&C policies.
• Degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management or HR.
