Job summary

Saipem in Qatar seeks an Offshore Methods Draftsman to support the Subsea Engineering Department on the COMP2 / Ruya12 project. You will report to the Project Manager and contribute to Mooring, transportation and installation drawings.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical/Civil, 5–10 years of offshore installation experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office. The position is project-based with a 45-hour week and permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Civil or related engineering.
• 5–10 years in offshore installation engineering.
• Experience with shallow water activities (S-Lay/Jacket/Deck).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review offshore installation drawings.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on Ruya12 project.
• Produce anchor patterns and transportation/installation drawings.

Purpose of the Position

As Offshore Methods Draftsman, you will respond to the Project Manager and be part of the COMP2 / Ruya12 project within Subsea Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

• With Offshore Transportation and Installation Experience
• With particular reference (but not limited to) to shallow water activities (S-Lay / Jacket / Deck / Cables / Structures installation).
• The resource shall be experienced with following activities / drawings:
• Anchor pattern drawings – mooring of offshore vessels.
• Offshore jackets / decks / bridges transportation & installation.
• Other items as piles, risers, j‑tubes, sleepers, mattresses transportation & installation.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical/Civil (preferable) or other Engineering degree
• Experience: Minimum 5-10 years in Offshore Installation engineering Industry (including operation follow up / offshore & yard experiences)
• Technical Skills / Knowledge:
  • With particular reference (but not limited to) to shallow water activities (S-Lay / Jacket / Deck / Cables / Structures installation)
  • EPC
  • Offshore Transportation and Installation Experience
  • Onshore / Offshore based

IT Skills

• Autocad 2D/3D and similar software/tools
• Office package (including Microsoft Project)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
