Job summary

Saipem, Doha-based, seeks an Offshore Methods Engineer to join the Subsea Engineering Department on the COMP2 / Ruya12 project. You will report to the Project Manager and lead installation activities across offshore and onshore interfaces, ensuring alignment with project timelines.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical/Civil engineering, 5–10 years’ installation experience, and fluency in English. Strong knowledge of shallow water installation and EPC practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Civil (preferable) or other Engineering degree.
• Minimum 5–10 years in Installation engineering (offshore & yard experience).
• Proficient in English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete Installation package (procedures, rigging drawings, check lists, trial lift).
• Coordinate interfaces with Installation analysis team (naval, structural, pipelay).
• Manage operation phase including procurement, vessel mobilization, subcontractors.

Purpose Of The Position

As Offshore Methods Engineer, you will respond to the Project Manager and be part of the COMP2 / Ruya12 project within Subsea Engineering Department.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

• Prepare complete engineering Installation package (installation procedures / rigging drawing / check list dossier / trial lift & load out procedures etc.)
• Follow up all the Interfaces with Installation analysis team (naval eng. / structural eng. / pipelay analysis eng.) including input & deeply review of analysis / design report.
• Follow up operation phase (including temporary items material procurement, vessel mobilization, subcontractors contract(s) etc.);
• Follow up onshore & offshore operation to technical assist (project side) vessel management team during mobilization / testing & installation phase.
• Follow up and manage team of young eng. (method / ops eng) + draftsman for preparation of Installation documents.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical/Civil (preferable) or other Engineering degree
• Experience: Minimum 5-10 years in Installation engineering (including operation follow up / offshore & yard experiences)
• Languages: Proficient in English
• Technical Skills / Knowledge with:
• With particular reference (but not limited to) to shallow water activities (S-Lay / Jacket / Deck / Cables / Structures installation)
• EPC
• Offshore Transportation and Installation Experience
• Onshore / Offshore based
• IT Skills:
• Office package (including Microsoft Project)
• Good knowledge of main offshore T&I codes (DNV/API etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
