Job summary

Swan Global is seeking an experienced Offshore Crane Operator for Jackup Rig operations offshore. You will operate pedestal/knuckle boom cranes, load/unload vessels, and move drill components while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role supports rig moves, coordinates with the marine crew during DP or dynamic positioning tasks, and performs daily pre-use inspections, reporting defects promptly. Rotational schedule applies (e.g., 28 days on/28 days off).

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an offshore crane operator (prefer offshore experience).
• Proven ability to operate Knuckle Boom, Hydraulic Pedestal, or Davit Cranes.
• Familiarity with dynamic load charts (accounting for vessel motion).
• Fluency in rigging/slinging practices and load calculations.
• Ability to pass random drug/alcohol tests (strict offshore policies).
• Certification renewal and offshore compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Safe Crane Operations: Operate pedestal cranes for loading/unloading; handle loads in high winds and vessel motion; follow rig lift plans per LOLER/API RP2D.
• Jackup Rig-Specific Duties: Assist in rig moves and coordinate with marine crew during supply boat operations.
• Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct daily pre-use inspections and log defects.
• Emergency Protocols: Participate in crane-related emergency drills.
• Team Coordination: Direct banksmen/slingers via radio and coordinate with deck crew.
