Detailed Job Description

As a Network Manager for project-based operations, you will take total ownership of enterprise network infrastructure, support teams, and service delivery frameworks in Doha, Qatar. Your daily responsibilities will span managing advanced Cisco routing and switching platforms, spearheading SD-WAN deployments, administering Meraki wireless networks, and securing enterprise perimeters using enterprise firewalls and VPNs. You will lead IT incident management, request fulfillment, asset tracking, vendor coordination, and SLA governance, while authoring comprehensive High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD). Operating in a fast-paced project-based environment, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain robust multi-tenancy architectures (vPC, VDC, VRF) and drive continuous operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct enterprise IT network support teams, driving operational reliability, incident management, and request fulfillment excellence.
• Architect, configure, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructures utilizing advanced routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
• Oversee the deployment and administration of Cisco core hardware including ASR 1k/2k routers, Nexus switches, Firewalls, and Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Spearhead enterprise SD-WAN deployments, Meraki wireless networks, and secure virtual private networks (SSL, IPsec, GRE).
• Manage complex multi-tenancy enterprise environments incorporating Virtual Port Channels (vPC), Virtual Device Contexts (VDC), and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF).
• Enforce stringent Service Level Agreement (SLA) governance, vendor management, asset tracking, and security compliance standards.
• Design and review comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for network expansion projects.
• Provide expert-level escalation support, conducting root-cause analysis and resolving critical performance bottlenecks across enterprise networks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum of 12+ years of hands-on professional experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure support, and team leadership.
• Professional certifications including Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Valid ITIL framework certification demonstrating mastery of IT service management and governance best practices.
• Extensive technical expertise in Cisco devices (ASR 1k/2k, Nexus, Firewalls, ISE), SD-WAN architectures, and Meraki wireless platforms.
• Deep operational proficiency in routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS) and multi-tenancy technologies (vPC, VDC, VRF).
• Proven track record in IT service management, SLA governance, HLD/LLD creation, and vendor/supplier management.
• Must currently be based in Qatar for immediate deployment on a project-based call-off basis.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Business Administration (MBA).
• Additional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
• Prior experience managing large-scale network migrations and data center consolidation projects in the Middle East.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible) for network infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust network architecture frameworks.
