Job summary

Mekdam Holding Group in Qatar is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, SD‑WAN, data centers and telecommunications systems.

You will troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues, monitor performance, uphold security controls and document networks while collaborating with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure high availability in a mission‑critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/ICT/CS or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of enterprise network operations and support experience.
• CCNA certification mandatory; CCNP is a plus.
• Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, WLAN and SD‑WAN technologies.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and cabling.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and English communication skills.
• Qatar driving license is mandatory.
• Experience in data centers and enterprise infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and optimize enterprise network infrastructure and data centers.

Detailed Job Description

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise network operations, server environments, computer rooms, and data center infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues while ensuring optimal performance and security of network services. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with routing, switching, wireless technologies, and telecommunications systems within large-scale enterprise environments. Working closely with infrastructure and operations teams, you will contribute to the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of network services while ensuring compliance with organizational and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, servers, computer rooms, and data centers
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, cabling, and connectivity-related issues
• Configure, support, and maintain switches, routers, wireless access points, and network security devices
• Monitor network performance and implement improvements to ensure maximum availability and reliability
• Support enterprise telecommunications systems, IP phones, and communication links
• Perform preventive maintenance and proactive monitoring of network infrastructure
• Implement and maintain network security controls and operational best practices
• Investigate and resolve network incidents while minimizing business impact and downtime
• Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and maintenance records
• Participate in after-hours support, shift rotations, weekends, and holiday support when required

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 8-10 years of experience in enterprise network operations and support environments
• Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, Wireless LAN (WLAN), and SD-WAN technologies
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and structured cabling systems
• Strong understanding of network security principles and operational best practices
• Experience supporting data center and enterprise infrastructure environments
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Strong English communication, reporting, and technical documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in fast-paced operational environments
• Valid Qatar Driving Licence (Mandatory)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification (Mandatory)
