Job summary

NAKILAT is seeking a seasoned Training & Development professional to manage seafarers’ professional development, career progression, and certification compliance. The role focuses on designing and delivering training programs, cadet mentoring, and performance-based career progression across all ranks.

Qualifications

• CoC STCW A-II/2 certification required.
• Minimum 48 months sailing experience on Tankers, incl. 6 at a Management Level Position (Master/Chief Officer).
• Familiarity with maritime regulations, certification systems, and training practices.
• Strong data management and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Training Needs Analysis for all seafarer ranks.
• Maintain training matrix covering STCW and CBT.
• Develop individual training plans aligned with regs.
• Coordinate with internal/external providers for training.
• Monitor training completion and certifications.
• Design cadet mentorship framework and track progress.
• Plan and execute Fleet Officer Meetings and vessel visits.
• Oversee performance appraisal processes and year-end ratings.
• Evaluate training centers for STCW compliance.
