Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a proactive sales associate to promote Al Maha Services and lounges, greet walk-in customers, and generate bookings based on online/email requests. You will support corporate sales and assist with client and event bookings while ensuring lounge operations run smoothly and customer experiences stay high.

The role requires a high school qualification with at least 1 year in a sales-related field, and familiarity with Outlook/Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Al Maha Services and lounges to walk-in customers to drive sales growth and meet sales targets.
• Respond to customers’ phone/email enquiries in a timely manner and generate sales from those enquiries.
• Seek opportunities to upsell higher value Al Maha Services and add-on products to increase value and profitability per customer.
• Check-in customers to lounge/s and manage lounge capacity appropriately to ensure the customer experience is optimized.
• Support corporate sales team and assist with client and event bookings.
• Support Management with administrative, sales and marketing activities and reports related to Sales Department.

Job description

Job Purpose:

Promote and sell Al Maha Services and lounges to walk-in customers, create bookings based on online/email requests and answer customer enquiries to achieve the assigned revenue targets within prescribed time frames. Assist the corporate sales team in order to achieve revenue targets and deliver exceptional service to our customers inside and outside Qatar Airways along with efficient handling of day today sales-related activities following the standard procedures.

• Promote and sell Al Maha Services and lounges to walk-in customers to drive sales growth and meet sales targets.
• Respond to customers’ phone/email enquiries in a timely manner and generate sales from those enquiries.
• Seek opportunities to upsell higher value Al Maha Services and add-on products to increase value and profitability per customer.
• Check-in customers to lounge/s and manage lounge capacity appropriately to ensure the customer experience is optimized.
• Support corporate sales team and assist with client and event bookings.
• Support Management with administrative, sales and marketing activities and reports related to Sales Department.
• Understand industry trends, identify business opportunities and assist customers with their lounge and meet & assist services needs.
• Service existing bookings, obtain new bookings and suggest process improvements, new products and service features to sales team.
• Participate in daily operations in lounges, back office and touchpoints as per Standard Operating Procedures [SOP] relevant to unit in which assigned.
• Ensure billing, cash/POS handling shift closing and handover procedures are followed at all times.
• Ensure visual appearance of work and lounge areas is of the highest standard by regular monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and department policies, procedures and standard operating procedures, E-docs and e Learning’s (Mandatory and otherwise) are always up-to-date.

Qualifications:

High School Qualification with Minimum 1 year of job-related experience Formal qualifications in sales or related field.

Job Specific Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel or similar. Create value, influence others and create needs for service. Demonstrate effective business like communication skills, both verbal and written. Genuine service/people focused attitude and understanding of needs of multi-cultural working/operatingenvironment High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and promote a positive team environment. Understanding of premium hospitality/airline/airport operations. Knowledge of Arabic language. Knowledge of airline or hotel booking system. Knowledge of point of sales processes and system.
