Job summary

Tanqeeb in Doha seeks a Logistics Specialist to coordinate import/export shipments, handle customs clearance, and ensure accurate documentation.

You will liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams to maintain on-time delivery and compliant processes.

Job description

• Coordinate and manage import and export shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Handle customs clearance procedures and ensure timely clearance of shipments.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and other required documents.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport companies, and clearing agents.
• Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to relevant internal departments.
• Ensure all customs declarations and documentation comply with Qatar customs regulations and applicable import/export requirements.
• Coordinate transportation arrangements for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Follow up on customs duties, clearance charges, port charges, storage, demurrage, and other logistics-related expenses.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs declarations, clearance documents, and related transactions.
• Identify and resolve shipment delays, customs issues, documentation discrepancies, and other logistics-related challenges.
• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth movement of goods.
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure goods reach the required destination within agreed timelines.
• Assist in evaluating freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics service providers.
• Maintain proper tracking reports for shipments, customs clearance, and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and international trade requirements.
• Prepare regular logistics and customs clearance reports for management.
• Perform other logistics and administrative duties assigned by management.
• This specialist will be responsible for operational execution, carrier bookings, documentation audits, customs clearance liaison, and cross-border road dispatch.
