Job summary

Arkan Marketing Services is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to own day-to-day international and local logistics for e-commerce accounts. You will coordinate shipments from China to Qatar, Dubai–Qatar, GCC, and global deliveries, working with courier partners and customs providers.

Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years in logistics, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field.
• 2–4 years of logistics/ courier operations experience.
• Experience with courier, freight forwarders, and delivery providers.
• Knowledge of international shipping, customs docs, and tracking.
• Experience reviewing shipping rates and invoices.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Arabic a plus.

About the Role

Arkan Marketing Services is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to take day-to-day ownership of logistics activities for one of our e-commerce accounts. The role covers international freight from China, Dubai–Qatar shipments, GCC and international customer deliveries, and local deliveries within Qatar. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience coordinating with courier companies, freight forwarders, and customs-clearance providers. This is a logistics-focused position, not a general operations or administrative role.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international shipments from China to Qatar and Dubai using air freight, sea freight, and express courier services.
• Manage Dubai–Qatar shipments and transfers, including bookings, documentation, tracking, and delivery follow-up.
• Coordinate GCC and international customer deliveries, as well as local deliveries within Qatar.
• Communicate directly with courier companies, freight forwarders, customs-clearance providers, and delivery partners.
• Arrange shipment bookings, collections, deliveries, and proof-of-delivery confirmation.
• Maintain accurate shipment trackers with booking dates, air waybill numbers, shipping methods, ETDs, ETAs, customs status, and delivery progress.
• Follow up continuously on delayed, held, missing, damaged, returned, or failed deliveries and ensure issues are resolved.
• Prepare, organise, and verify shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, air waybills, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate return shipments, reverse logistics, and claims related to delayed, lost, or damaged deliveries.
• Review courier and freight invoices, verify applied rates and charges, and report billing discrepancies.
• Compare courier and freight providers based on cost, delivery speed, reliability, service quality, and coverage.
• Negotiate shipping rates and service terms with existing providers.
• Research, evaluate, and onboard new courier, freight, and delivery providers when required.
• Maintain complete and organised digital records for shipments, invoices, rates, claims, and logistics documents.
• Coordinate with the supply chain, inventory, store, customer service, and finance teams on logistics-related matters.
• Prepare regular logistics reports covering shipment status, delays, delivery performance, claims, costs, and pending issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Two to four years of relevant experience in logistics, courier operations, freight forwarding, cross-border shipping, or e-commerce logistics.
• Practical experience dealing directly with courier companies, freight forwarders, and delivery providers.
• Good understanding of international shipping, customs documentation, shipment tracking, and last-mile delivery.
• Experience reviewing shipping rates, courier invoices, and logistics charges.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Arabic communication skills are an advantage.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple active shipments simultaneously.
• Able to respond quickly to delays, delivery problems, and urgent logistics requirements.
