Job summary

Chedi Hospitality in Doha is seeking a Commis Chef to support our culinary team and uphold high standards of food preparation and hygiene.

The role requires 1 year of experience as Commis Chef or 2 years as Apprentice in a hotel or restaurant, with basic culinary skills and strong cleanliness. You will assist in prep, station setup, and cooperate with chefs to ensure guest satisfaction.

Training will emphasise brand standards, kitchen safety, and teamwork within a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year work experience as Commis Chef or 2 years as Apprentice in a hotel or restaurant with good standards
• Basic Culinary skills
• Good hygiene knowledge

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented.
• Work closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
• Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits.
• Cleans, cuts, and grinds meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Dips food items in crumbs, flour, and batter to bread them.
• Stirs and strains soups and sauces.
